A fantastic modern retelling of Hansel & Gretel (with a few surprises!) set in the Southern States of America The second in her trilogy of retold fairy tales (the others being Sisters Red / Fathomless.

The story is similar to the Hansel and Gretel story. this story had more adventures.

This story is about Gretchen's twin sister who were captured by the witch. Gretchen and Ansel went of to search for them. after years pasted, the twins sister find them self trapped in the Live oaks, in south Carolina. Kelly, a candy maker was taking care of them not noticing that it was the witch. While Gretchen ans Ansel were looking for them they found Samuel and he told them that there is a witch that is lurking in the woods to hunts the girls for food. Gretchen knew she had to do something.She went to the live oaks and rescued her sisters and destroy her minions, wolves. After she retrieved them they had nowhere else to go instead head to the ocean.
