Yeah, he survived the zombie attacks, only to wake up and find himself enslaved to a world of shapeshifters and demons out to claim his soul. His new principal thinks he's even more of a hoodlum than the last one, his coach is trying to recruit him to do things he can't even mention, and the girl he's not seeing, but is, has secrets that terrify him. But more than that, he's being groomed by the darkest of powers and if he doesn't learn how to raise the dead by the end of the week, he will become one of them"--Dust jacket flap.

Summary
Add a SummaryThe fate of the world is at stake, and the deciding factor between good and evil rest upon the shoulders of a teenager. The pressure is on for Nick to start mastering his powers, because there's a bounty on his head, and no shortage of demons trying to collect. His love life has gone from not to hot, trying to decide between the girl he's pined for in the past and the one who saw him when no one else did. Nick can't seem to catch a break with a new principal who's even worst than the last one.Nick can't even win when the new football coach wants him back on the team, since he also has even more devious extra curricular activities to add to Nick's roster. In Nick's world everyone's a player and surrounding yourself with the right people is the key to being a pawn or a king, and by the end someone close to him will be on evil's payroll. His soul is constantly teetering in the balance, as we watch on pins and needles whether the choices he makes now will sway the future.

Add a CommentI love the characters of Bubba and Mark. LOVE THEM!! This book was great, but did not move at the same pace as the first book. Many of the previous characters took a back seat and we were introduced to some new characters and while I liked Grim, I like reading about the dark hunters more. Caleb is very interesting as was the necromancer, but I felt that I did not get to know the necromancer enough...at times I felt things were a bit too vague. Not as much of a fan of this book as I was the first and the third (I accidentally read them out of order.)
A fantastic second installment, I was hooked again just a couple of chapters in. Have to say, I love Bubba's shop slogan/commercials (see quotes). I'm officially addicted to Nick.
Good book. I really like this series.
Kenyon approached this book with a sense of humor that I loved. She really captures an innocence, curiosity, and attitude with Nick that make you want him to succeed. I love how much is love for his mother really comes across in the books too. Some new characters like Grim, Pain, and Suffering are brought in for Nick to deal with. There isn't a dull moment in the life of Nick and by the end we'll all be rooting for the underdog.
this book is good for all fanatics book three infamous is out in 148 days
Just as goodas the first. I haven't read the Dark Hunter series yet and while reading InVincible, i can clearly see how many connections to that series there is. I loved Nick sarcasim and his talk back in his head, it makes him real. I think i need to start the Dark Hunter seris just to get a better handle on this amazing world Sherrilyn Kenyon has created. Some things although she has elaborated on, i still felt confused likei should know what's what. Looking forward to the next book in CON!!!
excellant, as all the Dark Hunter books.. anxiously awaiting the next book of Nick's Chronicles I am addicted to the Dark Hunter books Love them all
I love the Dark Hunter world Kenyon has created. That’s really all I’ve got to say. :)
This is the second installment to Sherrilyn Kenyon's new series Chronicles of Nick, even though it is categorized for young adults ,it still connect to Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series, A MUST READ to any Kenyon Fans out there , and ever since i started this book I cannot put it down at all !!!!
Kenyon fans will follow her where ever she goes....even if it's to the YA section. The Chronicles of Nick make you feel as if she is leading up to something BIG on the full Dark-Hunter series. I feel these should be a recomended read for any fan.
