Quotes
Add a QuoteLillian: Why can't you be happy for me, and then go home and talk about me behind my back like a normal person?
Becca: You are more beautiful then Cinderella! You smell like pine needles, and have a face like sunshine!
Gil: Before you make those kinds of demands you should put a note on your door that says, "Do not come into my room and read my diary and wear my clothes."
Helen's Stepson: I've seen better tennis playing in a tampon commercial.
Megan: I'm glad he's single because I'm going to climb that like a tree.
Megan: It looked into my God damn soul.
Ted: This is so awkward. I really want you to leave, but I don't know how to say it without sounding like a dick.

Add a CommentIn comedy, comedic ability can uplift mediocre writing only so far. Kristen Wiig was the only funny thing in this so-so movie. Melissa McCarthy is an over-rated Chris Farley clone. I had heard great things about this. I even saw it a second time a year later to see what funny nuances I may have missed. Still underwhelmed. Both 2/5 stars go to Kristen Wiig though.
I enjoyed this movie! Melissa McCarthy made the movie. I laughed my butt off. Highly recommend!
It was about a maid-of-honour depressed about where her life is going, and led by jealousy. It drags however, and overall not all it's cracked up to be. And by the way last reviewer, I LOVED the pie scene in The Help. It was well earned.
They try on their gowns and all come down with food poisoning, and there aren't enough toilets or sinks (yes, sinks) to go around. Just as I'm thinking this movie stinks, the bride (in gown) takes a dump in the street. If this is your cup of tea... I feel sorry for you. You'd probably like the pie scene in The Help as well.
As <mbazal> said, this film is an interesting blend of funny and sad situations/scenes. // We're not usually fans of this type of "buddy" movie, but my wife and I haven't had so many belly laughs in a long time. Though playing a secondary character, Melissa McCarthy pretty much stole every scene she was in.
The beginning is the best part. Afterwards, “Bridesmaids” is too long and not too funny.
This movie is not a romantic comedy, rather it takes delight in subverting the romantic genre. Best Original Screenplay nominations for both the 2012 Oscar and BFTA awards. Golden Globe nomination for Best Picture.
I'm not prone to watching "chick flicks" but, just out of curiosity, I watched and was quite delighted. Very funny.
I found this movie really boring.
At the very end of the movie you see the Restricted rating, which is quite ironic. After the first few seconds we had made the decision that this was not a movie we wanted our 12 year old to see. We did watch it to the end but it won't be on our list to watch again....more gross than funny.
