Summary
Add a SummaryFollowing the creation of synthetic blood, vampires have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is a telepath and waitress at Merlotte's in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, owned by Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell), a shapeshifter—though this secret is kept hidden. One night, Sookie meets Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), a handsome 173-year-old vampire who has returned to Bon Temps following the death of his last remaining relative. As she cannot hear his thoughts, she finds it easy to be in his company and, over the first season, the two become romantically involved.
Set in the fictional town of Bon Temps, Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress, discovers a new world of creatures when she falls in love with Bill Compton, a vampire.

Quotes
Add a QuoteSookie Stackhouse: Who would we be if we were normal? It's hard to even picture it. Would we live in Gran's house or your house? Bill Compton: Both. We'd be married, happily married. Sookie Stackhouse: And I'm not a waitress anymore. I'm... I'm going to college. No, I'm a real estate agent, and I'm really rich. Bill Compton: I teach third grade and I love my job. Sookie Stackhouse: We'll have a big flower garden. Bill Compton: We grow vegetables. Sookie Stackhouse: Tara comes over for dinner and sometimes we double date with Arlene and Terry. Bill Compton: And I go fishing with Jason. Sookie Stackhouse: We don't even know Eric Northman. Bill Compton: Everything is peaceful.
Eric Northman: Apparently you wanted my fathers crown for your vast collection of meaningless s**t.
"Eric, stop this hate. We all deserve to find peace. Peace is love. Love is all." (Godric)

Add a CommentThis season wasn't that good but that oh Sookie video in the features was too much.
I wouldn't consider myself and avid fan of the True Blood series, but it is enjoyable with a biting sense of humour. Season 2 wasn't very good IMHO, but Season 3 made up for it. Interestingly enough this was quite a bloody violent season, but hey, blood is in the title so you know what you are in for. Only for fans of the supernatural genre.
this series can't get any better and i was wrong- it did. ^^
i would love to read this book....:o looks goood ;p
this is the best book and it might scare you a lot.................
THRILLING.......WATCH OUT IT MIGHT SCARE U.....
The first two seasons of True Blood are tame in comparison to the third season. The main characters are joined by several new recurring characters including extremely evil vampires, werewolves and other assorted creatures. Sookie is searching for Bill and ends up getting in way more trouble than she bargained for. In fact, all of the main characters are put to the test in one way or another and that results in exciting, unpredictable, and sometimes violent events. True Blood is excellent entertainment with a touch of humor as well.
I returned this yesterday around 3:30-4pm. Why is it still showing up?
I don't usually enjoy gore, but True Blood is something special~ it's so addictive
I really enjoyed season 1, but thought that season 2 was kind of a mess. I'm glad I gave season 3 a chance, but the extreme gore, graphic sex scenes, and bizarre plot twists were just too much for me when combined with the numerous distracting plot lines and random character development. This season was all over the place and ended with me just not caring very much about any of it, although I must say that I was impressed by the acting of new cast additions Denis O'Hare and James Frain.
