Add a CommentMaeve Binchy is my go-to author for gentle reads. She writes about the dramas of everyday life. I found myself rooting for the main characters, who are all so different. There is Benny, the much-doted-upon only child; Eve, the orphan child who grew up in a convent; and Nan, who was raised to believe she deserved and could get a better life than she grew up in. I also love getting a glimpse of life in Ireland.
A great book, I saw the movie and was inspired to read the book and I wasn't disappointed. I'm looking forward to reading her other books.
