Add a CommentI tried several recipes from this cookbook and they all turned out very well. I loved using the microwave for shortening the prep time. You really can't expect good results when you just throw everything in the crockpot and let it go any more than you could with a Dutch oven. The extra prep time really pays off in flavour.
I was hoping for more recipes from Asia, India, the middle east.
For all the hype of this book, I was pretty disappointed. Most of the recipes require a tonne of prep, and those that don't use the microwave for shortcuts. I'm really surprised by the amount of microwave use in this book. I didn't find this book had a lot of variety at all. There are maybe three vegetarian recipes, and no seafood at all. Since I don't eat red meat, I'm not impressed by the overwhelming amount of pork, beef and lamb recipes. I gave it two stars, rather than one, because it has good chicken recipes.
Plenty of variety under several food categories. Several enticed me.
