"It was supposed to be a simple birthday weekend in Southern California. But when sunrise arrives two hours early in the form of a haunting light from an unknown source, a group of friends watch in terror as people across the city are drawn outside and swept into massive alien ships that have blotted out the L.A. skyline. From tankers to drones and hydra-like extraterrestrials, the aliens are inescapable and seemingly indestructible"--Container.

Add a CommentWooden acting (doesn't help that the characters are flat), horrible script. I laughed through all of the serious scenes because of how ridiculous they were. And the ending? I literally face-palmed.
I enjoyed this movie. I didn't expect anything great when borrowing it anyway. The ending was the best part, reminding me of something from a comic book. I wanted to see more, but then the credits ran. Aww, too bad. My daughter got a kick out of it too.
From start to finish Skyline is a poor movie. The first half of the movie has no relevance to the alien invasion. Set in LA an alien force attacks and it appears their invasion will succeed. There's no explanation of who the aliens are nor their motives. Some of the special effects are interesting but overall this movie is not worth watching..
Some of the special effects are not bad. Rest of the movie, unfortunately, is a turd. Story, script, acting are just terrible. Not worth seeing.
Stupid ending. Stupid movie. Don't waste your time.
SO SO BAD ... IT'S FUNNY. Not really ... but it sucks
It was O.K for a home TV movie. I was entertained and interesting. But it was NOT worth the long library wait or the price to rent from a Red Box. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.” B+ dvd
Spoiler Alert! Aliens destroy the human race. That's it. That's the story. I love Science Fiction but this was the most depressing piece of mess ever. There was no hope or redemption. In fact, in the directors commentary, he said "i changed the ending (to be more gross) as one big final F*** *** to the audience."
WHAT a PIECE of CRAP. Stick needles in your eyes instead ... and the black guy gets eaten first, of course.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! This was a new level of TERRIBLE!! I want my money back & I didn't pay anything! Even worse, it ended as a cliff hanger?! Who in their right mind would watch another installment of that fooliness?
