Essential to black and minority studies, theater and performance art, and poetry. A moving set of stories and important in various contexts. A few really stand up to the test of time. An unconventional read, written differently than other plays. If you're open to the ideas it presents, you may even love it.

This book was amazing, I wasn't sure how i woudld enjoy this after watching the movie. Its not easy turning book into movie, much less poetry. Love it!! A must read.
