Add a CommentI used to adore this movie, as a child late-night TV watcher. I guess we all identify with the ugly duckling at that age. But now I find Georgy sullen and self-righteous; and I would throw Alan Bates in the Thames, him and his little hat, too. Did people really run around London in that strenuously wacky way? On the other hand, the writing is pretty good, and James Mason is fine as Georgy's admirer.
