Definitely good enough for a birthday or Christmas present, Magyk is Sage's answer to Harry Potter. The only downside is that the characters weren't very well developed and the villian was rather boring.

i have read all the other books b4 this one so I could see that this, is definitely the beginning to the series because Angie Sage has not fully developed her ideas and opinions about everyone and how they should act

DO NOT LET MY REVIEW STOP YOU FROM READING THIS BOOK I did not like it but that does not mean you won't. It wasn't very good the characteers were not very interesting and the plot was boring.
