As always, surprisingly funny for a book that is set in a post-apocalyptic world. A decent read, but pretty predictable for as huge a bestseller as this series is.

cant wait for the movie

I found the second book of the trilogy a lot more captivating and exciting than the first book. The mind games and intrigue just get deeper and deeper. Fascinating that everyone has to return to the games.

This series is going to be like the Matrix. The first one was the best but the next two disappoint. Too bad. This entire story is depressing. I'm trying to think of one genuine happy moment in any of the three books. The main character is not only flawed (which she admits, fine) but she’s consistently miserable. I of course had to follow book 2 and 3, but now I’m wishing I’d stopped at the first one. At least that was the classic underdog story. I wanted to like this series more. It doesn’t deserve all this praise.

While I enjoyed this one, I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say, none of them are better than the first.
