… More »Violet's TV-director dad has traded a job in Vancouver for one in Los Angeles, their run-down house for a sleek ranch-style home complete with a pool, and, worst of all, Violet's mother for a trophy wife, a blonde actress named Jennica. Violet's younger sister reacts by bed-wetting, and her mother ping-pongs from one loser to another, searching for love. As for Violet, she gets angry in ways that are by turns infuriating, shocking, and hilarious. When her mother takes up with the unfortunately named Dudley Wiener, Violet and her friend Phoebe decide that they need to take control. If Violet's mom can't pick a decent man herself, they will help her snag George Clooney.

Add a CommentDear George Cloony: Please Marry my Mom is a novel that you won't want to give up on! It showed me the true ups and downs of being a part of a seperated family. -- My heart followed Violet every step of the way.
Best book ever!!!!!!!!!! A must read!!!!!!!!!!
I love lighthearted books for teens--sometimes it's nice to just escape!
Just grabbed this off the shelf hoping for some funny story and it delivered. Surprisingly better than expected
Great fun, very well written - just what I've come to expect of this author. If you enjoyed this one you'd probably love her middle-grade novel Word Nerd even more. She really has the voice and the eye for detail for this age. Nice to be able to look out for more by such a talented Canadian!
this was an amazing book and it was insanly funny!!!
I was very entertained with this novel because of Violet's hummor. I realy liked the voice of Violet as her personality shone throughout the pages. This book was very well written! I would recemend this book to any preteen girl who enjoys reading hilarious novels that have you dobbled over with laughter and have sweet endings that touch your heart.
this book was great. i realy liked violet's personality and there wasn't a moment i was bored
fairly good, but slow and boring plot
This book was hilarious! I really got the feel for how much Violet loved her mom, from how she tried to set her up with George Clooney and all that. I think the ending was really sweet how Violet got the guy and how everything worked out with her family in the end.
