Earth Days
Acclaimed director Robert Stone traces the origins of the modern environmental movement through the eyes of nine Americans who propelled the movement from its beginnings in the 1950s to its moment of triumph in 1970 with the original Earth Day, and to its status as a major political force in America. Features the pioneers that started it all, never-before-seen archival footage, and more.

This is a great history of the environmental movement in the US, both pre-Earthday (1971) and post-Earthday, as well as what politicians and citizens said and did along the way. I would have given it 5 starts, but I can see how other people might get tired of the interviews, because there are lots of interviews and little to no action. But if you are interested in the politics and development of the movement, this will meet with your interest.
