Penguin Putnam
A witty, recession-era guide to being thrifty while not forgoing the fabulous.

Today's woman may have a dwindling stock portfolio, but that shouldn't make her bite one well-manicured nail with worry. Rosalyn Hoffman dishes up the wisdom women need to get perfect style without busting what's left of their bank accounts.

The author is a recession-era fashion guru, travel agent, grooming consultant, therapist, sommelier, and life coach all rolled into one, and with this book vows no coupon clipping, Prada depriving, carb hating allowed. Because it doesn't take oodles of moola to live well- and that's one trend that will never go out of style.

Baker & Taylor
A recession-era fashion guru and blogger provides women with tips on savvy consuming and saving, from clothing to cars to insurance, while still maintaining a sense of style and fashion. Original.

This book is just plain rude from cover to cover. I found it not very helpful and I did not like the crassness and materialistic attitude of the author.

This book has some good tips, like shopping at Target and staying in for entertainment but it wasn't what I expected it to be. This book definitely has a lot of profanity in it as well so beware if you get easily offended. In my opinion it was just okay but it definitely could have been better.
