Any movie with Matthew Goode makes me give this movie half of another star. The rest is typical gender stereotyping layered on too thick. Just propose it's a new century, marriage will work regardless of who drops down on their knee.

LOVE this movie! There wasn't a lot of funny parts but for some reason I still really liked it. (okay, not for 'some reason', there is a reason, and his name is Matthew Goode ;P)

very formulaic rom-com. definitely calls for a suspension of disbelief. Amy Adams is much better in other movies - or her other movies are much better - or both.

This was an enjoyable romantic comedy. A young American woman (Amy Adams) decides to propose to her boyfriend of 4 years while he's visiting Ireland on leap day. She runs into all sorts of difficulties on her journey, however, and ends up being stranded in a tiny village and pays the owner of a pub/inn (Mathew Goode) to take her to Dublin. Of course, the two fall in love along the way. With its beautiful Irish scenery and likable characters, the movie is better than average for the genre.

A romantic comedy with a few twists. For one, the setting in Ireland made for a beautiful backdrop for the storyline. Overall the movie was fairly average. If you enjoy romantic comedies it's worth checking out, otherwise skip it.
