"This 14th Reacher novel opens with a countdown: 61 hours to go until something happens. With 59 to go, Reacher's helping senior citizens after the bus they're all on careens out of control. Stuck in tiny Bolton, South Dakota, Reacher keeps himself busy helping the police, but it's soon clear that illegal activities on the outskirts of town are well beyond the local cops' abilities to control. A hired assassin, a Mexican drug lord, a biker gang, and a sophisticated meth lab spell trouble, and it will take all of Reacher's skill with military strategy and weaponry to handle the situation. Fans who enjoy this one should look forward to Personal, the 19th in the series, which will be available soon." Not the usual number of twists and turns I enjoy about this series but worth a read. I was able to figure out who the 'bent cop' was well before it was revealed and that disappoints

A very good read. Even though it's a fiction town that really doesn't relate to any town in SoDak. Still so interesting, tense, and sad.

Jack Reacher is a one of a kind stud...face bleeding from ice crystals smacking his face.

Loved the book and couldn't put it down. I felt like I was IN that snow storm. But can anyone tell me which is the next book? And how did he get out? Does Lee Child reveal that? I'm dying to read the next one!

Jack Reacher spends 61 hours in a small town in South Dakota during a cold winter. The author traces how Jack spends those 61 hours from the time he arrives to the time he leaves. While Jack tells his story about what is happening, the author is giving a count down of time. I found it amusing because the author probably used the same timeline to plot the story. An enjoyable read on a sunny, hot day. Lots of action, minimal violence (not graphic), no sex, good plot (drugs and bikers in South Dakota...Ha, good setting for bikers as Sturgis hosts bike rallies annually) and an admirable fighter. I can't wait to read the sequel to see how Jack got out of there alive.

Loved the book...couldn't put it down. I'm not sure I like the ending tho. But then I read the next one and know that Reacher survived.

Pulse pounding, thrilling ride!
