Add a CommentReview title: Cosmic Confusion & Chaos? Out of this world fun. A well developed storyline along with an engaging protagonist are sure to keep your attention, when you read "Cosmic". Grab your space gear and prepare for a special surprise as you ride with Liam beyond the Earth's atmosphere for a once-in-his-lifetime thrill ride. Kind of makes you think of "Willy Wonka and His Chocolate Factory" yet with an out in space backdrop.
This novel is about a 12-year-old boy named Liam Digby, the awkward relationship he has with his parents and the out of this world situations he rockets into. Liam is a good boy but trouble always seems to find him - like being mistaken for a dad, almost driving a Porsche and growing seven inches in a short space of time. The author, Frank Cottrell Boyce, uses dry humour and online gaming skills to help Liam cope with reality. So, if you like books that will make you laugh out loud and a book you'll never want to put down, even if you're parents tell you dinner is ready, then I would highly recommend this top notch book! This book is truly out of this world!
Cosmic is the story of a boy named Liam Digby, a tall kid that some adults mistake as a grown up. Liam told some lies and nearly stole a Porsche. Liam likes amusement rides, so when a new rocket ride came out, he wanted to give it a go. His father wouldn’t let him, so he pretended to be his friend’s dad in an attempt to get on the ride. When Liam got to the place the rocket was, it turned out to be a real spaceship! Liam went up, around the moon, and luckily made it back down again.
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! IT WAS REALLY RAD AND AWESOME!!!!!
This book was quite confusing. The plot was rather shaky, and quite improbable. Yet it was also pretty brilliant, amazingly funny in quite a few ways. It was defiantly a fun book to read even if it got a bit weird towards the end, it was a sweet story all the way through. Oh and it starts out amazing.
