The world is changing: the government has seized control of every aspect of society, and now, kids are disappearing. For 15-year-old Wisty and her older brother Whit, life turns upside down when they are torn from their parents one night and slammed into a secret prison for no reason they can comprehend. The New Order, as it is known, is clearly trying to suppress Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Being a Normal Teenager. But while trapped in this totalitarian nightmare, Wisty and Whit discover they have incredible powers they'd never dreamed of. Can this newly minted witch and wizard master their skills in time to save themselves, their parents--and maybe the world?

Good Read! It had humor, love, action, and adventure. It truly kept me at the edge of my seat
i love witch book, and i love the book...
interesting book
good book
You should read this book because it is a very fun science fiction book. It has the things like books need like a good plot and setting. It has a social issue that I really liked like kidnapping.
I am a grandmother who decided that I would read this series along with my 13-year old grandson, in the hope that we could have discussions - our own "book club" I know less than nothing about his video gaming, but I thought we could share books! I was impressed by the relationship between an older brother and younger sister... I think while reading this, he might look at his little sister as more than just his cross to bear. His mom has now purchased the series for his Nook My thoughts were that it was a pretty good story. Good characters, thoughtful plot and some pretty cool magic. I enjoyed the read and look forward to completing the trilogy. In a word - entertaining
The 1st book I've read by this well known author and I'm happy to say i was pleased. Not very long but very good. The brother and sister in the book are very likeable characters. I enjoyed this book very much.
Terrible writing for this author even though this is suppose to be for young adults I find the prose was too childish.
