Add a CommentWill remain one of my favorite books for a lifetime- Conroy creates a world so complete with complex character development that is almost so good it's frightening. I enjoy every page he writes. This book is a perfect mix of mystery, romance, history, and autobiography. I would read it a million times over and never get bored- the writing style of Conroy is underrated.. He is truly brilliant, and the history/reality of The Citadel that is offered in this novel is wonderful.
One of my favorite books, was almost hit by a car because i couldn't put it down. Very interesting and engrossing story and I am not an avid reader.
One of my favourite books. This is one worth lingering over. Really well written and one of Conroy's best, in my opinion. This book gets very dark in places, and takes the reader on an emotional ride.
