Item Details

Baker & Taylor
Recruited by the Department of Military Sciences, detective Joe Ledger finds himself in the battle of his life when he discovers that his mission is to stop a group of terrorist who possess a bio-weapon that can turn people into zombies upon its release. Original.

McMillan Palgrave
When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there's either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills... and there's nothing wrong with Joe Ledger's skills. And that's both a good, and a bad thing. It's good because he's a Baltimore detective that has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new taskforce created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can't handle. This rapid response group is called the Department of Military Sciences or the DMS for short. It's bad because his first mission is to help stop a group of terrorists from releasing a dreadful bio-weapon that can turn ordinary people into zombies. The fate of the world hangs in the balance....

After reading the Dust and Decay series I started this book hoping that it would be as good as the others. I was not disappointed in the least and recommend it to fans of Jonathan Maberry.

I was enthralled by this book. Excellent!

This book was my introduction to the works of Jonathan Maberry and to the hero who is Joe Ledger. This book had me from the first line. It was a hypnotic, exciting ride to the last page!

I loved it period. It was a beautiful mix. One part "24" and another the walking dead.... Enjoy! The entire series is perfect!

You will not put this book down until it's finished. Very faced paced and action filled, with a tough as nails Baltimore cop Joe Ledger. He's "recruited" or forcibly taken by the FBI for a sink or swim interview for a secret government agency. After seeing "patient zero" he cannot return to normal life and action, violence, and scary thrills await. This would be an amazing movie!
