Jeff Smith does it again. His visual storytelling paired with his creative foresight allow for darkly tantalizing tales like RASL. Romance and action are wrapped in scifi that's bound to spark creative interest for young and old readers.

RASL: The Drift deals with alternate universes. Worlds that are just like this one, with only the slightest differences. Looking for those small clues is sometimes helpful, sometimes upsetting, and this is especially true if you are not entirely sure what dimension you are in.

This is the Act One of a Great graphic novel. Would rather borrow the other book of all acts instead.

I was surprised by how much I really liked this graphic novel. It has all the elements of a really great story: history of Nikola Tesla, government conspiracies and cover-ups, parallel universes. It is definitely for adults, make no mistake about that. There is some violence, but I recommend adult reading mostly because of the amount of sex and sexual references. I find myself eagerly awaiting the release the next volume(s) into the library system!
