Add a CommentReally enjoyed this first book. Some of the topics may not be for all readers. Good start to the series though. The drama draws you in.
EXCELLENT . I really enjoyed this book especially after watching the series. The descriptive background of the characters make the TV series even better. Cant wait for the 2,3,4,5, and I understand a 6th.

After watching the series, I am enjoying the book even more. I am learning so much more background from the books. On to "A Clash of Kings"!
I really enjoyed this book a lot. All the different characters one is able to follow is great.
Still reading the book...and loving it so far. I do not find the book to be overly descriptive at all. He weaves the details in very well so as not to be boring.
I didnt find it to be draggy in the beginning... Got hooked right away and read it in a few days. I enjoyed the pacing and descriptive quality. Made it seem more real.
