Wonderful Roald Dahl movie about a precocious, brilliant little girl who comes from a hateful, deceitful family of television watchers. She dreams of one day going to school. When she finally gets to go to school she makes new friends, especially with her teacher, Ms. Honey. However, she has to confront a beast of a principal who hates little children and likes to literally "throw them by their pigtails" or "toss them in the chokie." Matilda befriends her teacher, Ms. Honey, and ultimately figures out how to improve her situation at home, at school, and for the rest of her life. Over-the-top but wonderful story about overcoming all obstacles if you believe you can and TRY.

Matilda I highly recommend to families of children any age! It is hilarious and shows that you should stand up for yourself and be you!
