It takes the arrival of Evan Kirkland for Lauren to figure out the answer: She's been holding back. I love this book. The ending was not disappointing in any way. Lauren has a hard life..."supposedly"...but in reality, she just makes everything more difficult for herself.___*SPOLIER ALERT*___Lauren falls in love with Evan. But not once during the book, did she ever think, "If Mary wouldn't have left, Evan would've been my brother." In someway, she kind of fell in love with her "ex-brother". Also, if they ever get married, the wedding would be WAY awkward for their parents, who are ex's. =D
