A lonely toy bear lives on the shelf in a department store, searching for his missing button and finally finding a true friend to take him home. Sweet and timeless.

Awesome, Amazing, and a delight for kids. I enjoyed reading this book to my baby sister which is now 7 years old. Basically the book is about Corduroy that's trying to find his missing, and Laura purchases him then sews a new button on him. This book teaches a lot of lessons to anyone all you have to do is have determination anything is possible if you just believe it's possible like Corduroy the bear.

This book is recommended to parents to read to their children. The book is about a small bear named Corduroy that lives in a toy store department that has loss a button. A small girl, Lisa, comes along and sees the bear, but she is unable to purchase Corduroy at the time. While gazing at Corduroy Lisa's mother points out that Corduroy has a missing button and the adventure begins from there. Corduroy goes on an adventure to find his button and he ends up in trouble with the department store security. Corduroy does not get his button and is taken back down stairs to where all the other toy animals are that night by security. The following the day when Corduroy awakens Lisa has come back to purchase him. Lisa takes Corduroy home and she sews a new button back on his corduroys for him.

The book is a great adventure book for children to follow along with while the bear gets into trouble. Children will enjoy this book because it teaches a moral lesson of friendship and determination. Corduroy is determined to find his button that he has lost. This is where the entire adventure lies for him. Lisa is determined to buy Corduroy even though her mother says she does not have enough money to purchase Corduroy for Lisa; Lisa is still determined to buy Corduroy. Lisa is successful in doing so because she goes home and counts the money in her piggy bank and comes back the next day to purchase Corduroy.
