Ex-policeman Bernie Gunther thought he'd seen everything on the streets of 1930s Berlin. Opinion

From Library Staff

If Philip Marlowe had his office on Alexanderplatz in Nazi Berlin, he would be Bernie Gunther, the protagonist of these dark and atmospheric detective novels.

A great collection of three cases for Bernie Günther. Debating whether to read them again!

Very well-written. Helps to keep a list of characters as you go. Good companion to In The Garden of Beasts, which is non-fiction of the same era.
