Quotes
Add a QuoteRichard: There's two kinds of people in this world, there's winners and there's losers. Okay, you know what the difference is? Winners don't give up.
Grandpa: Listen to me, I got no reason to lie to you, don't make the same mistakes I made when I was young. F**k a lotta women kid, not just one woman, a lotta women.
Olive: Grandpa, am I pretty? Grandpa: You are the most beautiful girl in the world. Olive: You're just saying that. Grandpa: No! I'm madly in love with you and it's not because of your brains or your personality.

Hey whats a rated?
All of the charters were so crazy. It was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen!
Weird little girl, quirky family. Story was pretty slow at first, but any doubts I had about the movie were diminished when the talent show began.....hilarious routine!! I laughed, a lot...
This was a really well-told story. Great acting by all, even Greg Kinnear, who I don't particularly like. The characters were well-formed and each was important to the story in a different, very interesting, way. And I really loved how the family came together in the end.
A very unique movie that had many heart felt moments. One second I'd be laughing hysterically and then I'd be on the verge of tears another second later.
Absolutely, positively my all-time favorite movie. This totally dysfunctional family gets 5 stars for their hilarious behaviors, from the suicidal, gay, award winning poet of an uncle to the ever so NOT Martha Stewart mom who pulls off family dinners by slamming a bucket of Kentucky Fried chicken on the table while planning how to get her awkward, chubby daughter off to a beauty pagaent, all the while with the grandfather snorting heroin and the brother, (who has taken an oath of silence) wears a Kikergaard t-shirt and the dad lectures on the power of having the WINNER motto ingrained as the secret of success in life, while he is fired from his job. Awesome!
I love this movie. Very funny and quirky. There are deeper themes running throughout. The actors did a fabulous job, even the little girl (main character). It is a little gem.
This was a decent movie, although I didn't think it deserved all the praise it got. It is well directed and well acted. I wouldn't go out of my way to see this again but it is worth checking out.
wonderful stuff! black humour. Reminds me of "Napoleon Dynamite".
