Add a CommentThis is a very cute book. I would recommend reading this book around election time, to give a different spin on the subject. The book teaches that you can be anything you want to be as long as you set your mind to it and work for it, but the book also has another lesson. It teaches that the grass isn’t always greener in the other side of the fence. Every time Duck thought something was to hard for him he ran for another office, not realizing it would be harder work and he should have just stayed on the farm.
Click, Clack, Moo is still the favourite, but this is nicely tongue-in-cheek which the parents will appreciate, and has the usual simple but funny and colourful illustrations which the children will enjoy.
Doreen Cronin's Duck series is a definite hit. Consider checking out the Bookflix/DVD version of this title as well. Pitch perfect delivery by Randy Travis (who also narrated Click, Clack, Moo).
