I was so into this book that I was spooked and had to put the book down when I got to Bombadil. And then I finished it. Wonderful.

This book is taking FOREVER to get to me!!!

Wow, BTVS must've been retired for a long time if he read this in the 1060s! Did they even have 401k back then? That's probably older than Gandalf!

The writing in this book is just not something you can find these days and that's what makes this book such a timeless classic!

I can't believe I enjoyed reading this in the 1060's. It is a simplistic plot, overly written and pretentious. Great literature for young people but not so great for retired readers

"“Even now my heart desires to test my will upon it, to see if I could not wrench it from him and turn it where I would- to look across the wide seas of water and time to Tirion the Fair, and perceive the unimaginable hand and mind of Feanor at their work, while both the White Tree and the Golden were in flower!” - TTT, The Palantir
