Add a CommentAMAZING movie!! James Cagney sings and dances with ease and grace... based on true story of George M Cohan. True American CLASSIC! If you have not seen this before, trust me, you will not be disappointed! Also, be sure to watch the Bonus DVD. Michael J Fox tells a lot about Cagney and even gives more good movie titles. You will be amazed at what he tells you about one of our nation's most talented heroes! Absolutely MUST SEE! I have watched this every five years or so for 40 years now! Not the typical gangster role Cagney usually plays. Very patriotic! Wonderful plot. HIGHLY recommended, ENJOY!
One of the best musical stories ever. It was made 69 years ago and no movie of today can come close to how great this one is. All the young people/families need to see it.
lovely b/w movie. i wish they'd released it on dvd. james cagney is very funny. story, music and dancing incredible.
