A good long lovingly set period drama with characters that you can't help but love and others you can only despise. Juliet Aubrey played a winsome and lovely Dorothea picking up a BAFTA for best actress for it. Definitely sets a bench mark in all departments.

Wonderful Andrew Davies adaptation with a scrumptious Rufus Sewell Standing up well to a 2nd viewing too!
