Andrew Davies does it again as he adapts George Eliot's novel about life in a provincial English town. Beautifully acted and directed. Stars Rufus Sewell.

A good long lovingly set period drama with characters that you can't help but love and others you can only despise. Juliet Aubrey played a winsome and lovely Dorothea picking up a BAFTA for best actress for it. Definitely sets a bench mark in all departments.
