Add a CommentI'm not necessarily a fan of horror, but how this movie has the "feel" of any great post-apocalyptic film makes me wish that I could see it again "for the first time". Likely my fave "horror" movie.
Not as well made as 28 weeks later. But the plot in 28 days is more coherent than 28 weeks.
Being a huge horror fan i liked this movie. My friend who watched it with me was scared and kept holding on to my shirt. She's the type of person that loves to talk back to the screen and tell the characters what to do while watching it on my HOMETHEATER! The look of the zombies was good. But even better was they were able to run!!! YES!!! We both liked the story and the characters. For me, one of my favorite part of the film was a quiet scene where the lead actor i believe was in a church. While looking down from the balcony he says "hello" and a zombie freezes and looks up at him. That's when my friend grab my shirt and wouldn't let go. I also enjoyed the beginning where the characters were breaking into the lab to free the monkeys. The scene had a very serious look to it. There are some good sound effects and good bloody visual in this movie. It's part of my horror collection. Just for scaring my friend i give this movie 5 stars!!! Good story, good visual effects, good sound, and it scared my friend. Both cheddar&butter popcorn.
i thought it is about rehab
This film incorporates some good attacking-zombies action scenes. The movie, I believe, is also realistic in its representation of the mayhem that would follow a catastrophic event.
This movie totally reinvented the zombie genre.
I thought this movie didn't really scare me that much, but it had residuel effects, and I think it was very well made. A lower budget sci-fi horror, Zombie thriller, enjoyable and scarey. DVD had lots of interesting side bits in it as well.
At first this film may look like just another Zombie-esk survival thriller but that label does this hidden gem a grave disservice. This U.K. film gives various nods to the long history of horror films but thankfully avoids most of the clichés and conventions of the genre. It’s slowly paced unless you’re faced with the infected and then the camera speed skilfully speeds up. The fill is full of intentional images that mirror real world atrocities. This film stands out because of having coming from the U.K. with a minuscule budget and good production value. The films climax is even a poignant allegory to the animalistic nature of man. Those infected with the ‘Rage Virus’ aren’t the real threat in this film.
Reinvigorating the zombie genre!
