I liked that they made their attitudes a bit more modern as compared to the novel.

Enjoyed watching this movie again. Wanted to watch it after reading - March - earlier in the year.

Entertaining and a great cast!

More languid and less tension than the book. Shot hereabouts: you can spot some locations if you look carefully. (Berlin work would not be done in a hoop.)

The cast does a pretty good job of restraint considering the fluffy, melodramatic sentimentality of the plot. Gabriel Byrne's miscasting as Friedrich Bhaer spoils the ending.
