I jumped at quite a few of the scenes including when Grahm is in the kids' room and he looks out the window and there is a mysterious figure standing on the roof of the place where merill sleeps. Of course the party scene when the alien comes out from behind some bushes. The last time I got scared was when Grahm brings the T.V. into the family room and he sees a reflection of an alien in the screen. The story is pretty good and very chilling. Don't watch if you will have a heart attack at jump scares. Give it a try if you like alien movies and mystery movies. 4 stars.

Sshhhhh. Mocha very sweepy...Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Yawn, oh, sorry. Well ladies and gentlemen. Yawn. HOMETHEATER and this movie put my friend to sleep and had me yawning several times while watching this very quiet and very dull film. And that's difficult since she loves to talk at the screen trying to tell the actors what to do. I should have realized something was wrong because she was quiet. After about a half hour, all i heard was her snoring. Zzzzzzzzzzz. And this is the second time she has fallen asleep while watching movies with me. Thanks M.Night!! So, i started playing with her nose since i no longer had an interest in this movie. This film is extremely quiet and dull. Did i say that twice? But does have some unique sounds during the night scenes. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz that's people sleeping who are making this movie. How i stayed awake to watch this whole movie is a mystery. However, i was able to wake up my friend once i saw the creature. I quickly rewind that scene so she could see it. It did look very scary and i wasn't expecting to see this creature during a party scene. That was very cool!!! My friend jumped when she saw it. And that's it!! Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. I wasn't feeling this movie AT ALL!!! I'm giving this sleeper 1 star. For a great looking monster and nothing else. (sorry if you liked it.) I never finshed my popcorn and my friend spilled hers all over my futon while asleep. Now i have to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Sorry, i'm a little tired from watching "Signs". Good Night. Zzzzzzzzzzz.

Its was OK. Yeah I agree that the acting wasn't great and well..the whole movie. However I can't help but get creeped out at a few scenes. Especially the birthday party scene, it gave me goosebumps. Give this signs chance if you like alien movies

she got a unintended smart mouth

This movie has more holes than a moth-eaten old coat... and it is about as interesting to watch. If I understand the story, the entire earth has to suffer an alien invasion so Mel can get his faith in his god back. And what Old Testament god it is. This god afflicts a young boy with severe asthma, makes his little sister neurotic about water and kills Mel's wife just so remaining family members can survive an attack by an single alien with no clear idea what it is trying to accomplish. Too bad this god was unable to, like, make these aliens, who can be killed by a glass of water, smart enough to realize that it might not be a good idea to attempt a take-over of a planet (and a people) who are made of predominantly just that: water. Clearly, Mel's god is not omniscient. More like a plot-convince deity. Of course, a movie is more than just story (even this one)... the set decoration here was, for me, the best part of the picture. All those glasses of water, for example. Someone put a lot of thought into coming up with a bunch of different tumblers just like a family would collect over the years and a kid might use.
