Add a CommentBest mini series ever. The novel was brought to life by Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall..the best performances of their careers..a classic, nothing has come close except Roots
Decent western mini series and with beautiful scenery. Makes you wish you were around back then given all the troubles that we have in the World today...
Didn't realize that this was DESCRIBED Edition, which I couldn't even watch past the first 2 minutes as they described the opening credits and the first scene. No other audio options.
One of the best screen adaptations of a novel I've ever seen. Extremely faithful to the feel of Larry McMurtry's epic, the cast bring the characters to life.
This is an extremely boring slow movie that goes nowhere fast.
Very entertaining miniseries! Fun to see some familiar faces looking very young.
Best six hours you will ever spend. Two great actors give the performances of a lifetime.
best mini-series ever!
I saw this on VHS 10+ years ago and only recently read the book, so watching the series was a nice refresher. This is a great series full of great actors. I'm not generally a fan of westerns, but this one is an exception!
A classic. Period.
