Well, i have been a fan of Twilight for ages now and thought that it was about time i put a review in! I really loved this book Twilight ( and all of it's sequels) because i am a sucker for a good romance . I thought that Stephenie Meyer wrote beautifully and she is one of my favorite authors ! With the romance, action was also there and although that action wasn't until the end of the book, i didn't become bored at any time. Although i don't really like the character of Bella that much, i still love her and Edward's relationship and i am totally Team Edward! Even though this book doesn't portray the sort of traditional vampire, i still loved the vampire that Meyer has created and for anyone who wants to understand that type of vampire more should read the official illustrated guide to the twilight saga as it really explained a lot for me, while also being actually VERY interesting! Even though there is so many haters for the Twilight Saga, i still love the books and recommend them to anyone who is a romantic and loves supernatural themes.

Obviously this is one of the most "known" books in the book community. I read it because I have heard so much good and bad. I did not know what to expect, maybe a bit more darkness, action and supernatural creatures, but overall, what I got was satisfying. I have two sides of feelings for this book. The first is I thought it was a really good book. I got hooked on pretty fast and the "feel" of the story was comforting for me in some way. It's not like it had constant suspense or anything, but there was something that was a bit addicting to the story. It is romantic, though some romantic lines I doubt would be able to be spoken in real life without sounding a bit off. The other half of me feels like there could've been more vampire related situations. In the beginning of the book, I mostly just read with the fact that he was a vampire in my mind. I would've liked it if there were more "problems" or situations where his vampire self got extremely involved to the point it was life threatening. But again, that is not with the book but more with me. I probably just prefer a lot of action and suspense in my reads. Though when thought of, there weren't really any boring parts in the book. I liked this book, I don't understand why it has this "hated" reputation. It didn't completely blow me away, but I still loved it and can't wait to read the sequel.

This book is one of the more boring ones of the saga. I think Bella is one of the whiniest narrators I have ever read. And this book is just, 'does Edward like me? I think he wants to kill me but who cares? Oh he does like me? But what if he leaves? And I think I will ignore his advice about staying alive and find a sadistic vampire intent on killing me! YOLO!' ......

Loved this book. Reminds me of when I met my husband in High School. So in love!

why are people calling Bella shallow and vain?

After all the hype, I was disappointed in the writing. Clumsy dialogue tags (she said maliciously), overdone cliches, way too many glowering looks in the first half. I kept waiting for the action, which was confined to the last quarter. The first 200 pages could have been tightened and edited better. BUT...the story did keep me reading and I wanted to find out what would happen. My favourite characters were actually Charlie and Jacob. Edward is too stereotyped, and Bella is a dufus when it comes to Edward. I mean, she can't live without him? Really?

There, she finds herself intrigued by the mysterious Edward Cullen and his family. She later learns that they are vampires. Trouble starts brewing when James, another vampire, catches a whiff of Bella's scent, and starts a deadly hunt for Bella's blood.

About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him — and I didn’t know how potent that part might be — that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him. (Permanently etched in my mind...)
