This book was given to me as a gift recently. I read the first half and then took the test. The results were quite interesting about my personality and for the most part was accurate although explained in an extreme context. This book is excellent for a college student or some one not sure what their personality strengths are. The test results could really assist with the decisions of choosing a career and help you to understand why you react to certain scenarios in your daily life. The book definitely needs to be purchased to get the full benefit.

good to see different qualities; u can figure it without the online test

As other commenters have reported, the book provides follow up information for an on-line survey. The beginning of the book, where they explain their methodology, is interesting, but without taking the test the bulk of the book is not directly helpful. The on-line test can only be taken with the code provided in the book, which is a one time use code. So - the book has limited usefulness in and of itself.

I must admit to having borrowed the book from the library and did not take the test. I'm also glad I didn't spend the 30$. There are pros and cons to buying: Pros: you are thinking about changing careers; you don't enjoy your current job; you're starting out in your career; in other words, you need some guidance on what might be a best fit. This book will help you concentrate on what you do best to succeed - and to find people with other strengths to fill the gap for the ones you don't have. Cons: you know yourself well; have already tried various personality tools; are successful in your career. This tool will not significantly enhance what you already know and will not bring any real insight (which was my case). A generally well-thought out book with a variety of skills to consider (although some I found repetitive). A sound marketing strategy, but I found expensive for what it offered.

Don't waste your time. Just a marketing hook. You need a code to take the test, and the book doesn't have it. If you buy the book and get a code, the online test only gives you 5 results (out of 34) To get the rest of the data costs another $500+
