I was surprised how much my three-year-old liked this one, despite the simplicity of the line drawing illustrations. She enjoyed the story, requesting it quite a few times, but it wasn't her favorite in this round of borrowed items. I don't think she got the "lesson" of the story because that's a little beyond her comprehension at this age. I enjoyed it, though, and thought it was a good reminder for me.
