A sweet love story about two seventeen -year-old high school girls. In 1993 the book was not just banned from the Olathe School District, but some members of the community burned it. Author Nancy Garden recently passed away. Here's a nice tribute to her work: http://www.slj.com/2014/06/obituary/annie-on-my-mind-author-nancy-garden-dies-at-age-76/

I really enjoyed this book and I completely agree with happyvegan's comment somewhat. But in my experience, all relationships can have their complicated times no matter what. But this story, despite the complicated parts, made a great story about perseverance and growing up. I would recommend it to any teen that wants a coming of age type of story

This was the first book I read after coming out to my friends; it was suggested by one. It's an absolutely lovely read and one that I recommend to anyone looking for lesbian fiction.

I loved the book. I think that the two girls had a right to be together and then the one teacher comes and ruins their happiness. I would recommend this book in a flash.

I decided to read this book because I thought it would be a new, different, and interesting perspective to read, as I've never read a story about girls' love before. I found it to be quite a good book, and it kept me intrested until the very end, with every twist and turn. However, I found that the ending was just a bit less than satisfying, so I think it lost points from me there. It's still worth reading, though.
