One of the worst movies I've ever seen. I was so disappointed.
Want to skip out of a diamond ring? Ask your future wife to see this movie. :P
Fast paced action thriller.
This movie does have it's moments. Djimon Hounsou is truly terrific as he delivers a very powerful and convincing performance. His Oscar nomination was well deserved. DiCaprio is OK, but I didn't really believe him as an ex mercenary and Jennifer Connelly, as gorgeous as she is, didn't have nearly enough to do. I would recommend everyone check this out at least once.
Well made story of the sometimes violent and seedy side of the diamond trade. The human suffering makes one realize that diamonds should not be a girl's best friend, at least diamonds mined by slavery.
Astoundingly violent, but well portrayed story of where the bling on your ears really comes from. Anybody who wants to buy a Diamond for a loved one, should watch this movie, and think about where it came from. Very good historical drama.
Very touching! And it makes you more aware of what you buy and where it really comes from.
Exquisite and deeply moving. You will never look at a diamond in the same way.
Leonardo DiCapro nominated for best actor and Djimon Hounsou nominated for best supporting actor. Nominated for best editing, sound editing and sound.
